**- CREATING AN AUSTRALIAN TABLEAUX - ** Felting Workshops - for Playgroup Leaders and Friends
Helen Andreatta (Playgroup Leader Little Sophia Kindergarten) and Nikki Fletcher (Artist and Craft teacher) have worked collaboratively to create this unique felting workshop for Playgroup Leaders and Friends.
These workshops are designed to empower participants with age old hand crafting skills to create their own Australian tableaux of a tree trunk, play mat and 2 Australian birds which can all be used in story telling or for children's play. Only the highest quality materials are used in this workshop. Limited to 10 people.
Saturday May 7th – 1pm -4.30pm –Tree trunk with branch and peep hole–Learn the skills to dry and wet felt a 3 dimensional, free standing tree trunk using a resist wet felting technique. (Approx. 25cm high)
Saturday May 21st –1pm -4.30pm – Australian felt story mat with an additional water hole. Learn to dye felt using a layered mottling technique to create a large 65cmx 50cm Australian landscape story mat. Use a variety materials and needle felting skills to create a beautiful stand- alone water hole.
Saturday June 18th –1pm -4.30pm – 2 Australian birds. Using needle felting skills , create 1 squat bird and 1 with legs and wings.
AT: The Time 4 Craft Studio - 16 Preston St Preston.
COST: $190 for 3 workshops .Single workshops $80. The course must be paid for in advance. This covers tuition fees and all materials required to create the listed items as above.
